Where to take fall photos in Northern Virginia, D.C. & Southern Maryland

Fall is right around the corner. I can't believe it's already September! Does anyone else feel like this year has just flown by?!

Fall is my absolute favorite season. Pumpkins, sweaters, colorful leaves and fall weather are my happy place. Fall is also a great time for photos of any kind. The weather is mild and the scenery is gorgeous, what else could you want?

When do the leaves change?

The leaves are typically at their peak around mid-to-late Oct. You can stay up-to-date with the latest report to try to track the leaves HERE. The Virginia.org Fall Foliage page says they will make their prediction for when the leaves will change/peak in mid-Sept. I will try to keep this blog post updated with any announcements that are made.

How far in advance should I book a fall or winter photoshoot?

I recommend booking as far in advance as possible for fall photoshoots. Fall is the busiest time of the year for all photographers because it's such a popular time to take photos.
